Hospital Wheelchairs

Useful, handy to have, invaluable, difficult to steer, flat tyre, broken leg support and can’t find one! These were the type of comments that we were hearing around the hospital, so step in the League.

We were asked to purchase some wheelchairs, (as shown) 20 in total, so they were instantly seen on entering the hospital, sturdy and easy to push but mainly being padded and were comfortable.

They cost just over a £1000 each and were purchased from a local firm here in Newbury. Now we do not hear anything from the public using them so an absolute investment for the comfort of the patients.

Then we added an extra feature by putting oxygen cylinder holders on the back of each chair so that the cylinders were not being held on laps by the patients or carer when the patients we’re being moved around.
