Our volunteers come from a vast diversity of life but we all share one aim. To give back something to the local community and help to improve facilities for our wonderful community hospital, this includes providing refreshments from our friendly tea-bar, selling cards, puzzles and books and with pop up sales throughout the year. We are always looking for more volunteers with new ideas and enthusiasm. We are able to tell you that we still have several life members one of which is a founding member from 1948. They still retain an interest in the committee and are able to see the enormous changes and modernisation of the League in the 21st century!
With the new year and updating the way the League the Friends move forward, the Friends are working behind the scenes with charity fund raising ideas whilst keeping the original core values of why the charity was created. However, to do this, more vol!nteers are needed so please think about joining. We could not do any of these objectives without you!
